1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LearnHero, including our website, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, checking the consent box at signup, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Contact us at admin@learnhero.ai with questions.

2. The Service

LearnHero is a personal intelligent learning platform. You can describe a learning goal, explore missions, receive AI-generated mission plans and courses, study lessons, take quizzes, track skills and progress, and optionally subscribe to paid features such as Pro.

Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service without prior notice, except where required by law or for paid subscriptions as described below.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with involvement of a parent or guardian as required by applicable law.

You agree to:

Provide accurate account information and keep it updated
Keep your password confidential and secure
Notify us promptly of unauthorized access to your account
Be responsible for activity that occurs under your account

4. Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid Pro subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the applicable fees, including any introductory, trial, or recurring charges described at checkout.

Unless otherwise stated at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel according to the controls we provide in the product (or Stripe customer portal). Cancellation generally stops future renewals; you retain access through the end of the then-current paid period unless we state otherwise.

Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us. Prices and plan details may change; we will communicate material changes as required.

5. AI-generated educational content

Missions, courses, lessons, quizzes, answers, narration, and related materials may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. Content is provided for educational purposes only. It is not professional financial, tax, legal, medical, or other licensed advice, and it may contain errors or omissions.

You are responsible for how you use learning content. Independently verify information that matters for real-world decisions.

6. Your content and license

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, such as goals, intake responses, feedback, and questions (“User Content”). You grant LearnHero a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and use User Content as needed to operate, improve, and provide the Service — including sending relevant User Content to AI and infrastructure providers that power features you use.

You represent that you have the rights to submit User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service — including software, branding, design, and LearnHero-generated or curated materials (excluding your User Content) — is owned by LearnHero or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service as permitted under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, or fraudulent purposes
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as allowed by law
Interfere with security, authentication, or other users' access
Upload malware or attempt to probe or breach our systems
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
Use the Service to generate or distribute content that violates the rights of others
Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or to protect the Service and its users.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Supabase, Stripe, AI providers (including OpenAI and/or Anthropic), Lemonfox, and optionally Plausible. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their processing. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEARNHERO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR MEET YOUR SPECIFIC GOALS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEARNHERO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO LEARNHERO FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LearnHero and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that courts located in the State of Washington will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where prohibited by law.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
